Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)<\/h2>\n

We are excited to have you explore the career of nursing with us. The EWU BSN program accepts a 40-seat cohort in both the fall and spring semesters. The BSN program requires four years of full-time study. The first two years focus on a broad spectrum of courses, including; core (BACR) requirements and nursing pre-requisite courses that prepare students for upper-division nursing courses. The final two years (four semesters) of nursing courses are on the Spokane campus, inside the\u00a0SIERR Building<\/span><\/a>, where students engage in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nursing students start with courses in biology, chemistry, psychology, human development, statistics, and nutrition. Once admitted to the BSN program, specialized coursework can include: pathophysiology\/pharmacology, health assessment, gerontology, childbearing health, psychiatric\/mental health care nursing, leadership\/management, acute\/chronic care nursing, and much more.<\/p>\n

To be considered for admission, applicants must have the majority of the EWU Breadth Area Core Requirements (BACR) and graduation requirements completed at the time of application and\/or be able to complete all requirements prior to entry into the program.<\/p>\n

The prerequisite courses (or equivalent courses) must be completed or planned to be completed<\/strong> before starting the program, if admitted.<\/p>\n

Pass\/Fail grades, CLEP, International Baccalaureate (IB) scores, and AP test scores are not accepted to meet the EWU Nursing prerequisite requirements.<\/p>\n
