promotion and community health.<\/p>\n Dr. Bachand earned a BSN from Arkansas State University and started her career as a registered nurse at St. Jude\u2019s Children\u2019s Research Hospital in Memphis.\u00a0 Later, she worked in the adult oncology and bone marrow transplant services at Baylor University Medical Center and as a clinical nurse specialist at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas.\u00a0 She earned both MS and PhD degrees in nursing at Texas Woman\u2019s University, where she started her teaching career.<\/p>\n Outside of teaching, Dr. Bachand has worked in cardiothoracic My husband and I have moved several times throughout our years together. We have been married for 25 yrs this past June. We moved to Montana in September of 2007 and in January of 2011 I was laid off from my construction sales position. At the time, I was already starting my prereqs for nursing. So this was the opportunity we needed to make this career change. In 2014, I graduated from the College of Technology (Missoula College) of the University of Montana with my LPN degree and passed my NCLEX first time in Helena, MT. I started to work with ‘Population Health’ in an office setting, a year later I moved over to the Neurology Clinic where I worked for a year. In, 2016My husband received a job promotion within Providence which prompted our move to the West Side. There I worked for Providence ElderPlace, a PACE program for 6yrs. During this time, I worked full time and went to school part time towards my RN with Excelsior College in Albany, NY. In April 2020, just before the shutdown of the world, I performed and passed my 30-hour weekend final examination. In July 10, 2020, I took my RN NCLEX; it was 6 years to the date that I passed. I transferred into Providence Marionwood where I worked as floor nurse in TCU for 3months and quickly transferred over to Clinical Manager where I worked for a year.\u00a0 I ended up getting an ulcer. This is when we decided to move closer to our step kids and grandkids here in Spokane. I was able to transfer over to Sacred Heart where I have worked for the past 4 years obtaining my BSN and most currently MSN-NE at the University of Providence.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n My favorite pass times are quilting and attempting to sew clothes.
