\nThe Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) at our Burien PSSC clinic provides exceptional,
\nculturally competent preventative dental care and oral health education to a diverse patient
\npopulation. Working in a collaborative, fast-paced community health environment alongside
\ndentists and dental assistants, you will play a critical role in expanding access to care and
\nimproving long-term oral health outcomes for the Burien community.<\/p>\n
\n\u25cf Clinical Preventative Care: Perform thorough oral examinations, prophylaxis, scaling
\nand root planing, debridement, and apply topical fluorides.
\n\u25cf Diagnostics: Assess periodontal conditions and chart accurately within the electronic
\nhealth record (EHR) system.
\n\u25cf Patient Education: Provide individualized oral hygiene instruction, nutritional
\ncounseling, and post-operative care education, utilizing interpreters or translation tools
\nwhen necessary to ensure clear patient understanding.
\n\u25cf Anesthesia & Treatment: Administer local anesthetic safely and effectively.
\n\u25cf Collaboration: Partner closely with clinic dentists to develop comprehensive periodontal
\ntreatment plans and facilitate smooth patient handoffs.
\n\u25cf Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control
\nprotocols (OSHA, WISHA, CDC, and Sea Mar clinical standards).
\nQualifications & Requirements
\n\u25cf Licensure: Valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the
\nState of Washington (or eligible for licensure by start date).
\n\u25cf Certifications: Current BLS\/CPR certification. Current endorsement to administer local
\nanesthesia and nitrous oxide is required.
\n\u25cf Community Focus: A strong commitment to working with underserved, low-income,

\n\u25cf Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, a patient-first clinical approach, and the ability to
