QuickBooks Certified User

Accounting firms are seeking qualified candidates proficient in Intuit QuickBooks. With technological advances, today’s accountants act as small business advisors and are required to make faster and better decisions from the readily available data. Students prepare for and take the Intuit QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU) Online certification exam in ACCT 323: Accounting Software and Certification. Students will develop their technological communication skills, understand how to develop new workplace documents using Intuit QuickBooks, and contain the knowledge to support both the firm’s and clients’ QuickBooks accounts.

The following QBCU exams are currently available through EWU’s Testing Center:

  • QBCU Online–US Version
  • QBCU Online–Global Version

Students demonstrate proficiency by taking the most current Microsoft Office Specialist certification exam for each application listed.

The Business and Marketing Education department offers a similar course, BUED 425: Workplace Communications Using Computer Applications. This course teaches electronic communications in Microsoft Office products while preparing students to take MOS exams.
