The minor in Information Security Management is a great asset for all majors. In the program, you’ll learn how to keep data safe and private. Our courses are offered during the following quarters:

  • MISC 311* is offered in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Quarter
  • MISC 372 is offered in Fall and Spring Quarter
  • MISC 373 is offered in Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarter
  • MISC 486 is offered in Spring Quarter

Curriculum & Requirements

Information Security Management Minor

In the Information Security Management minor students develop a solid foundation to handle information security and privacy competently in our modern society. 

Note:

  • this minor is intended for non-Computer Science students; non-BSB in Business Systems & Analytics students;
  • a maximum of 8 credits can be counted towards both this minor and a School of Business program (double-counting policy);
  • a minimum of 12 credits of this minor must be taken at EWU.

Grade Requirement: must achieve a minimum grade ≥C in each course that fulfills a requirement for the minor.
