Tuesday October 4th from 11 am to 1 pm in the PUB NCR (Cheney)

A community engagement fair is occuring on Tuesday October 4th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the PUB NCR (Cheney campus). Co-sponsored by the College of Professional Programs, the Office of Community Engagement, and the Master of Social Work Student Association, this is a great opportunity for students to learn from area service providers about what they do and how students can help by volunteering their time.

In conjunction with the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) and the Master of Social Work Student Association (MSWSA), The College of Professional Programs (CPP) is co-sponsoring a Community Engagement Resource Fair and on-site service activity this October and would like to invite all students to stop by and learn more about getting involved in community service projects.

20 partnering community organizations from Cheney and the Greater Spokane Region will have representatives available to talk with students about the services/resource they provide and how they can get involved.  Students can also participate in an on-site service activity and connect with their peers while they volunteer their time! Are you a fully-online student or at a campus outside of Cheney? We will also have an online opportunity to participate. Stay tuned to our social media!

Like raffles? You’re in luck! We will have a raffle passport card available to pick up at the CPP table on your way in to the fair.  Talk with 5 service providers and you’ll receive a star sticker from each representative. Sign up for a service activity or participate in our on-site activity, and you get a BIG star sticker. Drop off your completed raffle passport in our raffle jar at the CPP table, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for one of three prizes!
