Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlan de Eastern Washington University
Description Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlán (Chicano/a Student Movement of Aztlán) is a student created organization that began during the 1960's civil rights and Chicano movement. This organization seeks to promote Chicano unity and empowerment through political action. The motto of MEChA is 'La Union Hace La Fuerza' (Unity makes strength). MEChA hosts an annual student conference at EWU, cultural events such as Dia de los muertos (Day of the Dead), political sessions, participates actively in promoting political change, has annual potlucks and activities for the members to participate in. MEChA meets weekly every Tuesday, you can follow us on facebook. All our welcome!

Ballet Folklorico de Atzlan
Description The purpose of BFA is to put on performances of Latin American dance music to show the history and culture behind the art of Folkloric dance. To engage, entertain and teach both dancers and the audience in the history of these regional dances, Ballet Folklorico de Atzlan is open to all of Eastern Washington University community.

Chicano Empowerment Student Organization
Description The Chicano Empowerment Student Organization (C.E.S.O), is an organization / club under the umbrella of the Chicano and Chicano Studies Program of Eastern Washington University. Our mission is to educate and develop a sense of unity and pride towards our Latin American historical origins. Unlike other organizations; C.E.S.O will focus on educating it's members and community towards the numerous contemporary forms of expression and traditions of the different Latin American countries; as well as the eradication of traditional stereotypes created for our current society towards different Latin American countries.

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.
Description Lambda Theta Alpha was founded at Kean University in 1975 as the first Latina sorority in the nation. Lambda Theta Alpha strives to develop strong leaders that produce and engage in political, social and cultural activities. Based on the principles of Unity, Love and Respect, the sorority was established for the unification of women through charitable and educational programs. Although Lambda Theta Alpha is Latin by tradition, the sorority is inclusive to all women regardless of race, color, creed, sexual identity, gender expression, or religious beliefs.

Description The purpose of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority is to promote the traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity and Leadership among woman at Eastern Washington University. Kappa Delta Chi was established at Eastern Washington University on December 4, 2005 by 10 lovely charters, making it the first Latina sorority at EWU.

Description Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, historically Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States - from Arizona to Wyoming; Florida to Minnesota; New York to Texas; and many more states between the coasts of California and Rhode Island.
