Scholarship Announcement for Academic Year 2017-2018

 

Please read the announcements carefully to insure that your application is complete. We have provided the announcements with a checkbox to help with completion of the application packet. 

With the high number of applications being submitted by students, an incomplete application will not be reviewed.

Deadline for scholarship applications is July 28th, 2017 and must be post marked by this date and received in the Chicano Education Program's main office. Any faxed or late applications will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:

Scholarship recipients will be invited to the Chicana and Chicano Studies Program Welcome Back Reception to formally be introduced and receive the scholarship award. The reception will be held at EWU's PUB Multi-Purpose Room in the fall once school has started, with the date yet to be determined.  

Scholarship recipients will be required to keep in contact with the Chicana and Chicano Studies Program to assist them with being successful at EWU. Once awarded a scholarship the student will be contacted by the scholarship coordinator.

All EWU CCSP scholarships are open to all students regardless of documented status, if you have any questions please call  the Chicana and Chicano Studies Program office.

The CCSP Scholarship Deadline has been extended to July 28th, 2017.


Scholarships for incoming freshman/transfer students or continuing students will be awarded based on availibity. Scholarships which may be awarded include:

Annual Arrevalo Scholarship, $2000, for incoming freshmen with financial need (preference to Grandview HS graduates)

EWU Wittenbach Scholarship, $1500, for continuing EWU students in a health related major

Otto Guardado Scholarship, $500, for continuing EWU students in a business related major

CEP Multicultural Achievement Scholarship, $2000, for an incoming freshmen or transfer students

Iñiguez Scholarship, $910, for continuing EWU students (preference to first-generation Mexican college students)

Ruben Trejo Scholarship, $725, for continuing EWU students (preference to art related majors)
