** The Mathematics Tutoring Lab in Kingston Hall 337** ** Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday from 8:00-3:00 p.m **

The Mathematics Tutoring Lab Director is Kyle Riggs (Kingston 305). The Tutoring Lab is staffed by tutors who are undergraduate majors & graduate students with high academic standards in mathematics courses. Tutors may also be a future teacher or student who enjoys mathematics and assisting students in learning mathematics.

There is a tutor schedule posted in the lab showing tutors who are helping each hour and which courses they can help with. The wages of tutors who work in Math Tutoring Lab are funded by *Course Fees* assessed quarterly from students enrolled in the following courses at EWU: MTHD 103 & 104 and MATH 106, 107, 114, 141, 142, 161, 162, 163, 200, 211, 212, 380 and 385. Therefore, EWU students enrolled in the preceding math courses will have first priority to receive assistance from a tutor in the Mathematics Tutoring Lab. *Note: The average math course fee assessed quarterly is $13.50 per student.*

EWU students enrolled in a math course without an assessed course fee are welcome to study in the Mathematics Tutoring Lab (KGS 337) and may be assisted by a tutor, when possible. It is helpful to the tutors for the students to bring class notes and assignments when they come to the lab.

To request a list of *private tutors* who work independently from the Department of Mathematics and may charge $15 - $50 per hour and please e-mail (kriggs3@ewu.edu) or call (509) 359-4315. This list is also posted in the Math Lab.

In addition to the Math Tutoring Lab, students enrolled in MTHD 103 & MTHD 104, MATH 106, MATH 107 or MATH 114 classes are encouraged to attend PLUS Group Session for their course. When a student is unable to attend Math Tutoring Lab or their PLUS Group Session they should go to Academic Success Center in Monroe Hall 111*.*
