Each year, we send teams to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maa.org\/math-competitions\/putnam-competition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Putnam competition<\/a> and get students ready to take career-specific exams, work in industry or pursue a graduate degree at a top-level university. We offer a variety of electives that prepare students for careers in industry, government or research.<\/p>\n<p>High school students who want to pursue a math major should complete four years of high school mathematics, which includes two years of algebra, one year of geometry, and one year of pre-calculus mathematics.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to major in math,\u00a0<a
