You\u2019ll get a solid foundation in biotechnology concepts and the flexibility to customize your degree through electives in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, business, technical communications, and more.<\/p>\n

The curriculum consists of a year-long series of courses and a year-long research project. This structure allows you to take full advantage of the career-connected learning opportunities available to you.<\/p>\n

Whether your goal is to enter the workforce right after graduation or pursue graduate studies, EWU\u2019s biotechnology program prepares you to contribute to the future of innovation and discovery.<\/p>\n

      Cohort-Based, Hands-On Learning<\/h2>\n

      EWU\u2019s Biotechnology program follows a cohort model, so you\u2019ll learn alongside the same group of students, allowing you to form strong connections while working as part of a collaborative team.<\/p>\n

      Each cohort designs and completes an original biotechnology project<\/strong> aimed at improving an existing product or developing something new.\u00a0While the specific project changes each year, the process stays the same:<\/p>\n

      • Fall:<\/strong> Develop ideas, research primary literature, plan the project, and present findings.<\/li>\n
      • Winter:<\/strong> Conduct experimental work and begin product development.<\/li>\n
