If you have any questions during the process, please contact <a href=\"mailto:cihs@ewu.edu\">cihs@ewu.edu<\/a>.","apply_steps_steps":[{"apply_steps_step_title":"Guide New students in Completing Orientation","apply_steps_copy":"<p><strong>Student Orientation Video<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Show the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/O-NEfdtFN98\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new student orientation video<\/a> in class. The first step in getting oriented to EWU in the High School as a student is to watch this video. It will take approximately 12 minutes. This is required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canvas Orientation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If students or parent(s)\/guardian(s) would like more information, they\u2019re welcome to review the <a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.ewu.edu\/courses\/1214864\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canvas orientation course for new students<\/a>. <strong>Note:<\/strong> This is an open-enrollment Canvas course. You do not need EWU credentials to access the course. Please avoid using Microsoft Edge as the default browser when opening Canvas. This is optional if students have watched the orientation video.<\/p>\n","apply_steps_link":""},{"apply_steps_step_title":"Assist Students in Completing Application","apply_steps_copy":"<p><strong>How to Start<\/strong> <strong>the Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All students must complete the application. If possible, have your whole class do this at the same time.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please advise your students to use a personal email, not their high school email address to apply\u2014the high school firewall will block emails from us.<\/li>\n<li>Students must create an account on the application page.<\/li>\n<li>Please ensure correct spelling of emails and check spam or junk folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/ewuhs.ewu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Start the Application<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Completing the Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For further assistance:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/2LjLTVFASjQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watch How to Complete EWU in the High School Application: VIDEO GUIDE<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once their account has been created, students must activate the application through email.<\/li>\n<li>Students must use the link in the email to open the EWU in the High School portal and complete the application.<\/li>\n<li>Once the application is complete students will review the FERPA policy and select classes available at their high school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>EWU Resources &amp; Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After the application is completed, students will receive their EWU ID number and EWU account User Name within three to five days to the email provided in the application. All new students must complete the online application before you can proceed to Step 3.<\/strong><\/p>\n","apply_steps_link":""},{"apply_steps_step_title":"Verify Student Registration Requests ","apply_steps_copy":"<p>Within the EWU in the High School online portal instructors can view students that have completed the application and class request steps when selecting the Class Sections tile. Near the end of the application and registration window all instructors will be asked to verify their rosters and by confirming they are accurate or inaccurate.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn btn-red\" href=\"https:\/\/ewuhs.ewu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Verify Roster<\/a><\/p>\n<p>*All student applicants <strong>must<\/strong> be included on the roster in order for them to receive credit. All class registration requests must be made by the student through the EWU in the High School portal.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the high number of student class registration requests received each term, late adds will not be processed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Drops &amp; Withdrawals<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Who can request a drop or withdrawal?\u00a0 All drop and withdrawal requests are processed through the EWU in the High School online portal by students, instructors, or high school counselors.<\/li>\n<li>Important!
