What We Are Collecting

  • Written memories. These may consist of a journal recording events as they unfold or your thoughts providing insight from the present day, months into the pandemic.
  • Creative work. This includes poetry, fiction, or other creative non-fiction.

Submissions may be humorous, sad, inspirational, or simple reporting of facts and observations. We want to gather reflections on your experience as a student. All reflections related to the COVID pandemic are welcome. For ideas, we will post potential topic ideas on our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter channels.

How to Submit

Submissions must be made between Sept. 20 to Nov. 29, 2021 to be entered into this student drawing.

Eligibility Guidelines

  • Only current EWU students are eligible for the drawing.
  • Only one submission is allowed per student.
  • Entries must be between 100-2500 words. Submissions that don’t meet the word count requirement may be accepted to the Life During COVID archive, but will not be eligible for the drawing.
  • Work must reflect your experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in some manner.
  • Anonymous entries are not eligible for the drawing. If you wish to submit an anonymous entry, you may do so through the general Life During COVID submission form.
  • Participants must complete the form in its entirety including agreement to the consent statement.
