You must log in to create a permanent password.<\/li>\n<li>Get in the habit of\u00a0<strong>regularly<\/strong> checking your EWU email at least once a day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>What to Know<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All important communication from the Running Start Office, your instructors, and the university will be sent only to your EWU email.<\/li>\n<li>Your email username is the entire email address, for example: jsmith42@ewu.edu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","apply_steps_link":""},{"apply_steps_step_title":"Complete English &amp; Math Surveys","apply_steps_copy":"<p>You must complete the English Placement Survey to be able to take composition-based English courses at EWU. You only have to take the Math Placement Survey if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019ve completed a full year (two semesters) of Algebra I and II at your high school. You\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong>\u00a0have final grades in both Algebra I and Algebra II.<\/li>\n<li>You still need math to graduate high school and want to take it at EWU.<\/li>\n<li>You are interested in a degree\/career that includes math, for example: STEM, education, business, social sciences or some liberal arts degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You Need<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your username and password (created in Step 2).<\/li>\n<li>Your EWU ID, which is on your acceptance letter.<\/li>\n<li>Access to a current high school transcript (recommended, but not required).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What to Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/RQV7XP6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">English Placement Survey<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Keep an eye out for an email with the English class we recommend for you.<\/li>\n<li>Complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inside.ewu.edu\/math-placement\/math-placement-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Math Placement Survey<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Keep an eye out for an email with your Math placement score in your EWU email.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>What to Know<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>These are not exams!<\/strong>\u00a0These surveys will ask about your past high school class experiences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Be honest on these surveys.<\/strong>\u00a0You will be more successful if you are.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you check your spam folder for your results.<\/li>\n<li>Survey results will be processed 2-3 business days after completed.<\/li>\n<li>Your Running Start advisor will use this information to determine eligibility for English\/Math
