Thank you for your interest in serving on the Board of Directors for the EWU Alumni Association (EWUAA).
The EWU Alumni Association Board of Directors is seeking passionate Eagles who are ready to lead, serve, and make a meaningful impact. As volunteer ambassadors for Eastern, board members help shape alumni engagement strategy, support signature traditions, and strengthen lifelong connections for more than 125,000 Eagles worldwide. We are looking for alumni who are committed to advancing the Eastern experience and championing the Eagle4Life spirit.
The EWU Alumni Association provides guidance, counsel, and vision in partnership with staff and volunteers who serve EWU alumni and students. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Association seeks active, working board members who represent a diverse cross-section of our alumni community and bring a variety of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. Board composition is thoughtfully considered each year based on the evolving needs of the organization and returning members.
Applications are reviewed with consideration of the following:
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to support organizations and teams
- Past involvement and volunteerism
- Vision, enthusiasm, and a commitment to engaging alumni at all stages of their personal and professional lives
Board members are appointed to a three-year term beginning July 1 and are expected to fulfill all responsibilities associated with board service. Employees of Eastern Washington University are ineligible to apply.
