We’re excited to celebrate our Golden Eagles—those marking 50 fabulous years since graduating from Eastern Washington University! While we no longer host traditional annual reunions, every five years we’ll honor the most recent five graduating classes together.
1970-1975 | Celebrated October 17-18, 2025
1976-1980 | Celebrating in October 2030
1981-1985 | Celebrating in October 2035
1986-1990 | Celebrating in October 2040
Traditionally, EWU has celebrated a 50th Reunion every other year in the fall around our annual EWU Homecoming. The past few years have presented us with both an opportunity and need to reimagine our reunions and reunion programming. The realities of a more-connected world and a growing slate of EWU events, has led us to evaluate and modify how we offer reunions for the greatest overall benefit.
Ultimately, EWU class reunions are for you, and the common feedback has been that you want more classmates to attend, and more time spent together; additional feedback centers on having more notice and longer planning times.
With your input as our guide, we are excited to announce that we’ll be adopting a new model of hosting reunion celebrations. Every five years we will celebrate the last five classes beginning in October of 2025. Reunions will include a breakfast, tours and more! You can read the full announcement here.
The five year model is the celebration of multiple classes at one reunion event. This model is growing in popularity at universities around the country, mainly for the reasons stated in the letter from our Alumni Director (shown above). Classes from five consecutive years will celebrate their milestone anniversary together with a reunion weekend on campus.
This grouped reunion event at EWU will feature a breakfast, campus tours and other opportunities to gather, celebrate and connect throughout the weekend.
EWU Alumni Office and the EWU Alumni Association will be sharing regular communications leading up to the date, working with class volunteers, gathering input to plan your reunion weekend and working to connect with as many of your classmates as possible.
