Each year a commencement ceremony in May honors semester students who have earned degrees from the College of Health Science and Public Health. At this year’s celebration, hundreds of friends and family members packed the lower stands at EWU’s Reese Court to see these newly minted Eagle alumni collect their diplomas. It’s been just two years since commencement ceremonies were moved back to Cheney, part of EWU President Shari McMahan’s effort to reaffirm Eastern’s main campus as the center of the university’s academic life.
