Engineering Tours

This is the best way for future students interested in engineering to explore EWU! In addition to a walking campus tour with a student tour guide, you will have the opportunity to meet with an engineering faculty member who will answer questions and showcase the Computing & Engineering Building. Tour is approximately one hour and 45 minutes.

Housing Tours

Find your home with EWU Housing & Residential Life! Join a group of future students on a 60-minute walking tour of campus with a student tour guide. You will visit two or three of the most popular residence halls: Pearce Hall, Streeter Hall and/or snyamncut (official spelling).

Location

All housing tours start from the Housing & Residential Life office, located on the first floor of snyamncut (1027 Cedar St, Cheney, WA 99004).

Customized Group Visits

Time: 60 minutes
Audience:
all ages

Student guides provide walking tours of campus. As time allows, you will have the opportunity to explore the majority of the Cheney campus. Your tour includes the John F. Kennedy Library and University Recreation Center. The ratio of visitors to guides will depend on how many guides are available at that time.

Time: 30 minutes

high school students

A typical presentation includes an overview of the admissions process, tips on how to apply for college, the actions students should take to prepare for college, and a question/answer session with an admissions representative. 

Time: 30-60 minutes
Audience: all ages

Choose from multiple workshops on college fit, college jeopardy, and more. Workshops are age-specific, and we can customize options for your group.

The cost of meals varies, but it typically is $9-$11 per student. Our Pence Union Building (PUB) features four dining locations:

  • Panda Express

Everything is à la carte. Credit card or cash is recommended.

Ask questions and get unscripted, candid answers from three or four current EWU students.

We are happy to coordinate the use of these facilitates, as available. Your students will need to complete release waivers.

You can have up to 50 high school students stay overnight in Dryden Hall. The cost of an overnight visit varies, and you will need to provide your own linens or rent them from EWU Housing. At least one chaperone is required per 15 students.

Please schedule your visit at least four weeks prior to your requested dates and contact us to discuss details and availability.

We can create a customized EWU experience for your student group! To coordinate a visit, please submit a request form at least three weeks prior to your requested dates (four weeks for an overnight visit).

Special guidelines have been introduced to ensure you have the best group visit possible:

  • Groups can include up to 55 participants.
  • If multiple groups want to be on campus at the same time, the group that signed up first will receive the visit slot.
  • Exceptions to these guidelines may occur on a case by case basis depending on the availability of resources.
