Confirm Your Enrollment

What You’ll Need

  • The username and password you used to create your admissions application
  • A credit card to pay your $250 nonrefundable enrollment fee

Where to Start

1.1. Log into your admissions application
1.2. Click the Applications tab at the top of the screen
1.3. Select the blue AD – Admitted link
1.4. Click the Confirm Now button
1.5. Complete the enrollment form and pay your enrollment fee

Can’t Access Online?

If you’ve received your admissions decision via printed letter but can’t access your decision online to pay your enrollment fee, call Student Financial Services and pay via phone at 509.359.6372.

Once the enrollment fee is received, you will receive a letter to let you know your spot is reserved.

Be sure to complete your online form and submit your $250 nonrefundable enrollment fee as soon as possible, which is usually within 30 days of being accepted.

Set Your NetID Password

What You’ll Need

  • Your eight-digit verification code (found at the top of your acceptance letter)
  • Your personal information, including the name used on your admissions application and your date of birth

Where to Start

2.1. Visit accounts.ewu.edu and click New Students.

What is a NetID?

Your NetID is used for most of the online services at EWU, including registering for classes, checking your grades and paying your tuition, and you’ll need it for the next step.

When you’re done with this step, make sure you remember your NetID and password!

Apply for Campus Housing

What You’ll Need

  • Your NetID and password
  • A credit card to pay your nonrefundable $125 deposit

3.2. Click Apply Now

Set Up Your Eagles Email (Required)

What You’ll Need

  • Your NetID and password (See Step 2)

Where to Start

4.1. Visit itech.ewu.edu/email
4.2. Click the link that says Setup Student E-mail

After setting up your account, you will receive a temporary password. You must log in to create a permanent one. Your email username is the entire email address, for example:

jsmith42@eagles.ewu.edu

All official university communication is sent to your Eagles email address.

Sign Up for Orientation or Meet Your Advisor

 

If You’re Admitted in the Fall, Sign Up for Orientation

 

What You’ll Need

  • Your contact information
  • Your EWU Eagles email
  • A date, chosen from the list of available sessions, when you can be on EWU’s campus for the entire day

Where to Start

5.1. Visit ewu.edu/orientation and follow the instructions.

Orientation is a required, day-long summer academic program. In 2018 you also have the option to participate in a two-day orientation program. You will sign up for classes at Orientation. Parents and guests are encouraged to accompany students!

If You’re Admitted in Winter, Spring, or Summer, Meet Your Advisor

 

What You’ll Need

  • Your NetID (found at the top of your acceptance letter)
  • Your EWU Eagles email
  • Time to schedule an appointment
  • Copies of your transcripts, especially if you’re a transfer student

Where to Start

You have to meet with an advisor before signing up for classes. Appointments are usually 30 minutes long.

Take Your Math Placement Test

What You’ll Need

  • Time to make sure you understand the process
  • Your NET ID and password (created in Step 2)
  • A credit card to pay any testing fees

Where to Start

6.1. Visit ewu.edu/mathplacement and follow the instructions.

All new students must take the math placement test. There are only a few exceptions, which you can find at the Math Department’s Placement FAQ page.

Submit Your Final Transcripts and Test Scores

What You’ll Need

  • Final, official transcripts from any colleges and high schools.
    • Make sure your official high school transcript has your graduation date on it.
  • Official IB and AP test scores

Where to Start

7.1. Mail final official transcripts and test scores to the Office of Admissions:

Your final transcript is the only way we can give you maximum financial aid or give you credit for the classes you’ve taken. Be sure we have them!

You will not receive applicable college credit for any AP and IB courses until EWU receives your official test scores.

Finish Your Financial Aid Paperwork

What You’ll Need

  • If you missed the priority deadline for financial aid, you still have options.

EWU FINANCIAL AID

Where to Start

8.1. When you receive your Financial Aid Notification with details of your financial aid award, you have 30 days to accept or reject each award.

If you do not respond within 30 days, your award may be canceled.

Financial aid awards generally arrive in April.

You may be asked to verify information you provided on your financial aid application. Be sure to respond quickly.
