Confirm Your Enrollment

What You’ll Need

  • Your NetID (found at the top of your acceptance letter and in a series of emails you received).
  • A credit or debit card to pay your new student enrollment fee.

1.2. Complete the enrollment form and pay your confirmation fee

Can’t Access Online?

If you’ve received your admissions decision via printed letter but can’t access your decision online to pay your confirmation fee, pay online via CashNET.

Once we receive your enrollment fee, we’ll send you an email for orientation.

Complete your online form and submit your enrollment fee by June 1.

Set Your NetID Password

What You’ll Need

  • Your eight-digit verification code (found at the top of your acceptance letter and in a series of emails you received)
  • Your personal information, including the name used on your admissions application (usually your full legal name) and your date of birth

2.2 Click the New Student button in the section named Activate Account

What You Should Know

Your NetID is used for most of the online services at EWU, including registering for classes, checking your grades, paying your tuition, and many of the following steps.

When you’re done with this step, make sure you remember your NetID and password!

Apply for Campus Housing

What You Should Know

  • After setting up your account, you will receive a temporary password. You must log in to create a permanent one.
  • Your email username is the entire email address, for example: jsmith42@eagles.ewu.edu
  • All official university communication is sent to your Eagles email address.

If You’re Admitted For Fall: Sign Up for Orientation

What You’ll Need

  • Confirmation that you’re attending EWU

Where to Start

5.1. Check your personal and eagles email for your orientation information
5.2. Visit ewu.edu/orientation for complete information about orientation dates

What You Should Know

  • On-campus orientation registration will begin early spring.
  • Your orientation information email should arrive about one week after you confirm your enrollment.
  • The online and on-campus orientations are required.
  • You’ll start setting up your class schedule over the summer.
  • Parents and guests are encouraged to accompany students for the on-campus New Student Orientation!

Take Your Math Placement Test

What You’ll Need

6.1. Visit the Math Placement Assessment page and follow the instructions

What You Should Know

  • All new students must take the math placement test. There are only a few exceptions, which you can find at the Math Department’s Placement FAQ section.
  • If you have a question regarding disability accommodation, contact the EWU Disability Support Services Office located in Tawanka Hall 121 at 509.359.6871.
  • To get the best advising possible, you should take your math placement test at least one week before attending New Student Orientation.

Submit Your Final, Official Transcripts and Test Scores

What You’ll Need

  • Final, official transcripts from any colleges and the last high school you attended
    • Make sure your official high school transcript has your graduation date on it.
  • Official IB, AP, SAT and ACT test scores

What You Should Know

  • Your final, official transcripts and test scores must come from your school or testing agency. Receiving final, official documents is the only way we can give you maximum financial aid or give you credit for the classes you’ve taken.
  • Your final, official transcript should have your graduation date on it.
  • You will not receive applicable college credit for any AP and IB courses until EWU receives your official test scores.
  • If you don’t submit final, official transcripts, you can’t register for classes.
  • To get the best advising possible, you should submit final, official transcripts at least one week before scheduling your advising session.

Financial Aid

What You’ll Need

  • You may be asked to verify information you provided on your financial aid application. Be sure to check your Eagles email or your inside.ewu.edu account for requirements and respond quickly.
  • After your financial aid file is complete, you will receive your financial aid notification via email and US mail. You will be directed to your inside.ewu.edu account for award details and to accept your financial aid award.

8.2 Click My Account in the menu (on a mobile device, you can find My Account by clicking on the icon with three lines in the upper right-hand corner)
8.3 Find the Financial Aid & Scholarships menu and click Awards
8.4 Log in using your NetID and password (created in Step 2)

What You Should Know

  • Financial aid awards generally arrive in late February.
  • You have 30 days to accept or reject each award. Respond quickly to finalize your award and complete any necessary additional steps.
  • If you missed the Feb. 1 priority deadline for financial aid, you still have options. Visit ewu.edu/financialaid to learn more.

Submit Your Immunization Records

What You’ll Need

  • Your Eagles email (you set up your email in Step 4).
  • MMR documentation that you can upload to a website.

  1. Visit ewu.edu/medproctor
  2. Click “New Users – Register”

What You Should Know

  • All students are required to show verification of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) immunity. If you don’t provide verification, you won’t be able to register for winter classes.
  • You can find information about requirements, exceptions, and policies at ewu.edu/immunizations.
