The new student orientations are designed to prepare you for your first year at EWU. Our goal is to set you up for a successful and rewarding college experience. Below are a few of steps to get you on your way!
Students beginning their Eagle career in the Fall of 2022 can choose one of four in-person dates. Sign up today!
July 15 and 18 also have Spanish-speaking sessions and the option for students to stay overnight in a residence hall.
To sign up, log in using the username and password you used to apply to EWU.

Once you officially confirm with Admissions that you’re attending EWU in the Fall, then you will get an email from us regarding signing up for your Orientation. Don’t see the email? Let us know at orientation@ewu.edu and we can help you out!

Yes! The sign-up form will allow you to change your date.
Absolutely! Families are more than welcome to join you on campus during your Orientation date. Just make sure to indicate how many guests you’re bringing when you register.
The schedule is essentially the same for all four Orientation dates. July 15 and July 18 do have a Spanish session component, however. If you or your loved one would prefer to learn more about EWU in Spanish, we would encourage you to attend one of these dates.
New Students: If you’re interested in spending the night on campus the night before your Orientation, make sure you chose the “with overnight component” option when you register for your date.

Great question! The menu will be a Grilled Cheeseburger/ Vegetarian Sandwich on a roll with condiments. Fruit, salad, cookies, and drinks will also be provided.
*Please note that lunch is optional and must be payed for prior to the Orientation event.

New, first-year students are required to live in an EWU residence hall. This policy is designed to increase student success and persistence to graduation. Students planning to live with their parents or guardian will need to complete a Housing Exception Request.
