We sold more than 2,500 pieces and raised more than $118,000 for student-athletes. Sales benefit the Eagle Athletic Fund, which provides much-needed scholarship support, the building and maintenance of first-class facilities, and funding for all 14 sports programs at Eastern.

New Inferno Turf Design
The Inferno would hardly be complete without the red turf. We’re pleased to report that the new field, with a fresh design, was installed at the end of July.
Following a five-day, online vote, Eastern Athletics announced the winning design for the new turf in May. The university presented four options and held a “Your $, Your Vote” contest online. Not only did fans get a chance to pick the new design, but each vote helped Eastern raise $9,336 for student-athlete scholarship support.
The winning field features a newly updated design and end zones that spell out “Eastern” on one side and “Eagles” on the other.
Stadium Renovation Project
The replacement of the red turf is the first phase of the EWU Stadium Renovation Project. The original turf reached its max lifespan of ten years last season and required replacement. The project was made possible thanks to the first instalment of a generous $5 million dollar pledge from local businessman Jack Gillingham.
Your input and support for initiatives like this one will help us reach the $25 million goal for the full renovation. We still have a lot to do, but together, with the GRIT of Eagle Nation, we can do it!
To be a part of shaping the future of Eastern Washington Football, we invite you to visit the Stadium Renovation Project website to learn how you can give to this exciting project, stay up to date on announcements, and track the progress.
