Due to COVID-19 this year’s festival has been cancelled.  Please stay tuned for more details; we hope to have Books2Eat 2020 in October 2020.

Like to bake?
Love all things literary?
Want a chance to win an Amazon gift card?
If so you’ll love EWU Libraries’ Books2Eat – our Annual, Edible Literary Festival!

You don’t need to be an expert (or even an experienced baker) to enter.  Choose a literary inspiration- a book, story, song, novel or poem- and recreate it in an edible form.  All entries are eligible to win the popular vote and receive one of three prizes.

Like to nibble? Enjoy a slice of cake, a crumpet or a cookie? We need eaters! After votes are tallied and prizes are awarded, all entries are cut, plated, and eaten.

To Participate: Look for details in the fall, we hope to have our festival in October!

(No entries are being accepted at this time.)

Prepare your creation and bring it to JFK Room M17 by noon on event day.

All creations must be safe to eat after sitting at room temperature for several hours.

We welcome you to slice and serve your creation after winners are announced!
