About
Stu Steiner is an associate professor of computer science and the director of the Eastern Washington University Cybersecurity Institute. Steiner received his doctorate in computer science from the University of Idaho in 2018. Steiner also holds a master’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in business management and business finance. His current areas of research are the smart grid, the internet of things (IoT), cybersecurity, and web application security with an emphasis on intrusion prevention, detection, and security operations. Steiner has been teaching computer science courses for more than 20 years at all levels in the curriculum. Steiner brings a unique practical and operational perspective to cybersecurity operations research.
