Road Life Cycle Workshop

This informative four day workshop will cover the complete process of setting up a tribal roads program.  The Road Life Cycle will show the development aspects of a road project in a tribal transportation department. We will cover the how the Planning and the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) of the roads program is the basic foundation of developing the Tribal Improvement Program (TIP).  This course will start with the beginning of road identification, getting the road into the tribal road inventory and RIFDS, through the funding options, design, reporting requirements, contracting, construction to close out.  This is a fundamental workshop for the new transportation planner, beneficial for the experienced planner and consultants or local governments working with tribal road construction.  This is a valuable course for new tribal road planners as well as refresher for seasoned roads personnel. The key areas focused will be:

    Including: NEPA and Right Of Way (ROW))
