In celebration of our college graduates, we reached out to our seniors for a little highlight and feedback from their time at Eastern. Congratulations on getting your degree! And welcome to the Eagle Alumni Family! Go Eags!

Kennadi Walker

What is your major and minor/certificate and what made you choose that major/minor?

My major is in Secondary English Education.

What is one of your favorite memories so far in your program/at Eastern?

By far, my favorite memories are the times spent with the amazing friends I made here at Eastern.

What is your plan after graduation?

I plan to start applying for jobs as a high school English teacher in the greater Seattle area.

Which faculty member in your program did you connect with the most and why?

The faculty member that I connected with the most was Chris Valeo. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Valeo as the professor for my Senior Capstone this past winter. Words cannot express the level of gratitude I have for her. The care and compassion she has for her students extends far beyond the classroom. I could not have completed with year without her support.

What was the hardest assignment you’ve had to do and how did you get through it?

Any paper I had to turn in for one of Dr. Binney’s classes! The way I got through the essays was thanks to the wonderful Writer’s Center and many lattes from The Mason Jar.
