Frank Lynch is an applied mathematician trained in biomathematics whose research interests lie at the intersection of mathematical modeling and analysis. His research agenda consistently includes mentorship of students. As a junior faculty member, he was the first member of his department to supervise an undergraduate presentation at a professional meeting and to publish a manuscript with a student as a co-author. As the mathematics department expands with its newly formed (2019) Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, he expects to add mentorship of graduate students.
