Job Summary: The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for the physical therapy management of patients under the direction and supervision of the Director of Therapy Services. They will evaluate patients and interpret evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction while establishing treatment goals and plans to achieve established goals. The PT initiates discharge planning from physical therapy. They implement the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient, may delegate a portion of the treatment plan to appropriate supportive personnel and coordination of the treatment plan with other health care personnel as appropriate. The PT provides advice and education to the patient, family and designated caregivers while regularly assessing clinical signs and symptoms to determine the effectiveness of treatment, the progress of patient towards goals, and the need for modifying goals and treatment. When the patient has received maximum benefit from physical therapy the PT will discharge the patient providing accurate, timely documentation of physical therapy patient management.
Position Summary: The Physical Therapist works with patients to restore and promote optimal physical function.
We are looking to hire two full-time Physical Therapists.
1st Position: Outpatient orthopedics working with a wide variety of patients and diagnoses. We help people from head to toe, pre and postoperatively, sprains and strains, MVAs, workers’ compensation, and reconditioning. We have multiple offices and must be willing to help out. Strong emphasis on manual therapies and progressing patients as we work with them to achieve their goals. Great gym area with equipment needed to do ther ex component.
2nd Position: Vestibular/orthopedics. We are looking to developing a vestibular/balance program in our Boise clinic. Strong interest and internships in vestibular required. You would be helping us get this program up and running and could be heavily involved in all aspects of its kick off. To be honest, we do have a PT who is interested and motivated to take additional coursework and CEUs in vestibular/balance, so you would have a co-worker to bounce ideas and cases off of. You would also be able to grow your orthopedic skills in your downtime.
We are looking for sharp, outgoing, flexible, team players that are willing to learn and push themselves and your recently acquired knowledge. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced Physical Therapists, but you will also have chances to work independently. A great learning environment for new graduates. Typical PT responsibilities per state guidelines and licensure.
Compensation: Typical new graduate salary for outpatient orthopedics, benefits package including APTA membership, license renewal, medical, PTO, and CEU help, etc.
About Us: Achieve Physical Therapy. We are a local PT owned outpatient practice for the past 11 years (more than 25 years of experience in the office). The owner and one other PT are both EWU graduates. We have grown and continue to do so later this summer. We currently have clinics in Boise, Garden Valley, and Horseshoe Bend. We are due to open a clinic in Meridian this summer. Great effort has been put into creating an environment where patients can be comfortable and heal, and a place our team actually looks forward to going to work. Our providers are very happy (just ask them) with the freedoms they have as practitioners with very little corporate mandate in your individual treatment. I worked in a clinic as a new graduate where corporate dictated that each patient had 1 unit of Estim, 1 unit of US, 1 unit of manual, and 1 unit of ther ex for all visits. This led to a bunch of bad therapy. I expect you to do whatever is right for that patient in that treatment today using your best judgment. All treatments are 1:1. We believe that PT should not stand for Pain and Torture. Relationships are very important to our team members. Many of our current patients are either returned customers or have referred to us by a previous patient.
Come join a great team, where you can grow individually and we can all grow collectively. We look forward to learning from you and exploring the opportunity of you joining us.
To Apply: Please email a copy of your resume and cover letter so we can connect with you.
