Dental Hygiene Students Volunteer with St. Margarets

On May 10^th, Trista B., Kimbo H., and Mayuko J. participated in the ACFF grant funded project at St. Margaret’s Shelter, where they provided oral health education, discussed access to care, and provided fluoride varnish treatments for children.

EWU/WSU CSD speech-hearing students worked alongside Professors Doreen Nicholas and Barbara Peregoy in providing swallowing/speech screenings and hearing screenings/referral. We used our new DNTLworks portable chair, for the first time!
