Minor in Corporate Training

About

In the Corporate Training minor, you’ll be prepared for jobs that involve training the trainer. You’ll have the tools you’ll need to educate new company hires and prepare employees for company changes. You’ll also learn about leading continuous improvement workshops and Kaizen events. You’ll be prepared for creating training videos online, mobile apps, internal videos, etc. along with coaching customers in processes or products.

You’ll be introduced to instructional methodologies and audience strategies. You’ll also learn how to create, deliver, and analyze training material in the area of your major. In addition, you’ll get practice with industry technology, written and oral communications, and assessments and presentations.

The Corporate Training minor complements the management majors: General Business Management and Human Resource Management. BUED 302 and BUED 425 are included in the management majors’ elective sections. If the two state-support courses are double-counted, you’ll only need four more courses (16 credits). It is also a complementary minor to Accounting, Finance, Health Science, Health Administrative Services, and any additional heavily regulated industry.
