About

Kevin Criswell is a clinical psychologist with a research background in psycho-oncology (the study of how individuals with cancer and others affected by the cancer experience think, feel, and behave from diagnosis through long-term survivorship) since 2009. His clinical training has encompassed training in areas of brief and long-term behavioral and psychotherapy interventions in primary care settings (e.g., teaching hospital, family medicine clinic, cancer treatment clinic, VAMC). He is currently interested in researching how students with chronic illnesses academically perform and psychosocially adjust to the experience of pursuing higher education, especially in comparison to students without chronic diseases.
