Eagle Store to Offer Games and Deals for Homecoming

The Eagle Store is gearing up to offer a week of games, discounts and giveaways in celebration of Eastern Washington University’s annual Homecoming.

The annual Eagle Store Homecoming Sale includes shelves and racks fully stocked with great new merchandise – just in time for all of the Eagle activities that come along with a new school year.

“This is my fifth Homecoming here as the marketing coordinator, and some of these games I’ve been doing since my first year,” says Eagle Store staff member Elly Sears.

Fans planning a visit to the Homecoming extravaganza can count on the return of Jenga Monday, Trivia Tuesday, Wildcard Wednesday and Ring Toss Thursday — which are quickly becoming traditions. And this year the store’s team has created a couple of new perks for those who plan to drop in on Friday.

“We want to switch it up a little bit for people so they can expect somethings and have a little bit of newness, too,” Sears says. “We want it to be really engaging and fun.”

On Thursday, folks can look forward to a ring toss game with discounts off the entire purchase price. On Friday, Swoop will make an appearance to sign autographs. The store has plenty of shirts and footballs for Eastern’s favorite mascot to sign.

“They can show up with a football jersey with Swoop’s signature on it to the game,” Sears says. “That will be really fun and we are really excited.”

As an additional Friday perk, shoppers will receive one alumni-themed juice glass with their purchase.

Sears says that the discounts offered throughout the week apply to EWU branded merchandise but do not include items that have red tags and items from Swoop’s corner. The Eagle Store games are open to all students, staff, faculty and members of the university and larger community.

Sears says the Eagle Store regularly shares news about upcoming deals and new arrivals, such as the kiosk that lets people purchase customized greeting cards and gift cards, on its Facebook, Instagram and TikTok pages.
