STA Expands Service for Game Days

The Spokane Transit Authority (STA) is providing extended bus service for the convenience of fans attending Eagle football games played at Roos Field in Cheney.

For all upcoming #GoEags home contests, including the Eagles’ home opener against Northern Iowa at the Inferno this Saturday, STA is assigning an extra Route 6 bus to transport fans from Cheney to the STA Plaza in Spokane. The route includes stops at both the West Plains Transit Center and the Jefferson Street park-and-ride.

STA recommends catching the extra #6 bus at either EWU’s Eagle Station or the bus stop adjacent to Roos Field on Washington and Elm streets. STA spokesperson and Eagle alumna Carly Cortright says departure times for the gameday bus will be timed to coincide with each games’ conclusion, even in the event of overtime.
