Film Program on TV

Published: April 19, 2011

CHENEY, Wash. - The Eastern Washington University Film Program is taking its act to television. The program is excited to announce the premier of its new show, The 11th Hour, featuring new student work every Friday and Saturday at 11 p.m. on CMTV Ch.14.

The debut show airs April 22, and is the first in a series of three episodes about the challenges, failures and victories of 10 EWU sculptors who compete against each other for a prized claw hammer and pair of welding goggles. Shot "reality show" style, these short documentaries are modeled after competition shows such as Bravo's Work of Art, but are even better.

The 11th Hour provides home-grown entertainment created by student directors who live, work and make films in the Inland Northwest. Future shows will feature student-produced short narratives, music videos and more documentaries.

For more information, please contact Sarah Lee Monroe, assistant professor in Eastern's Department of Theatre and Film at 509.359.6135.
