New Pact for EWU at Bellevue

Published: June 12, 2016

CHENEY, Washington -Eastern Washington University President Mary Cullinan and Bellevue College President David Rule both recently signed the EWU at BC Agreement for an additional five years (2016-2021).

Since the partnership began in 2005, Eastern has had more than 1,000 students earn a baccalaureate degree through EWU at Bellevue College. This includes 140 students honored June 16 during EWU's 10th graduation ceremony on the BC campus.

"This is a great collaboration," said John Neace, senior director of EWU Off Campus. "We've maintained strong enrollment over the years. The benefit of Eastern's off-campus programs is that students don't have to relocate or alter their lifestyle in order to obtain a four-year degree."

Eastern at Bellevue College is a university center offering upper-division level courses that lead to bachelor's degrees in business, psychology, children's studies, applied technology and interdisciplinary studies.

Eastern Washington University is a student-centered, regionally-based comprehensive university. Its main campus is located in Cheney, Wash., within the Spokane metropolitan area, with additional learning centers in Bellevue, Everett, Longview, Seattle and Vancouver.
