EWU Rolls Out Welcome Mat

Published: September 01, 2015

CHENEY, Wash. - An exciting schedule of activities will greet the nearly 2,100 students expected to move into campus housing at Eastern Washington University this month.

Critical to the success of each student, Welcome Week is designed to familiarize the newest members of the EWU community with all aspects of campus life.

Things begin Sept. 18 with Move-in Day, as the doors to Eastern's residence halls will open to more than 1,600 freshmen - an expected record class. Activities are planned for all new students, including transfer and international students.

Welcome Week events include the annual Pass Through the Pillars procession, orientation meetings and the Neighbor Festival. The fall 2015 quarter begins Sept. 23 with the ringing of the bell in the one-room schoolhouse.

Please visit the Welcome Week website for a detailed schedule and contact information.
