Course Registration

For Students

Complete these steps to apply and register for courses. If you have any questions during the process, please contact cihs@ewu.edu.

Complete Orientation

If you’re considering taking EWU in the High School courses, complete the online orientation.

Note: This is an open enrollment Canvas course. You do not need EWU credentials to access the course. Please avoid using Microsoft Edge as the default browser when opening Canvas.

Determine Your Payment Status

An EWU in the High School course costs $65/credit reduced rate. Check with your instructor to determine is you qualify as a self-pay or a school-pay/i-Grant student.

  • If you qualify as self-pay, please complete Step 3.
  • If you qualify as school-pay/i-Grant, please continue to Step 4.

Complete Self-Pay Contracts (Self-Pay Students Only)

Self-pay contracts are distributed and collected by the high school instructor. Complete this step before proceeding to Step 4.

How to make a payment online:

  1. Visit EagleNET.
  2. Choose “Pin Access.”
    • User ID: This is your 8-digit verification code (EWU ID).
    • PIN: Student’s birthday in the following format: mmddyy.
  3. Set up the account following the prompts (keep birthday as PIN for ease of use).
  4. Choose “Student.”
  5. Choose “Student Account.”
  6. Choose “Pay My Bill.”
  7. You will be redirected to a website asking you to log in with your NetID and password.
  8. Select the term that you are trying to pay for (i.e. Fall Quarter 2020).
  9. Select “Pay Now.”
  10. Choose the term again, fill in the amount that you plan to pay, and select “Pay Now.”
  11. Follow prompts regarding payment information.

How to make a payment by mail:

  1. Make check payable to Eastern Washington University.
  2. Include the student’s 8-digit verification code (EWU ID) on Memo Line.
  3. Mail to the following:
    Eastern Washington University
    Student Financial Services
    202 Sutton Hall
    Cheney, WA 99004

Note: If you did not receive an email with your NetID or EWU ID number, contact our office at cihs@ewu.edu or 509.359.6187.

Complete Application

New and returning students must complete the application once per term.

  1. Ask your instructor what term you need to apply for.
  2. Complete application:
    • Do not to use your high school email address to apply — the high school firewall will block emails from us.
    • Please ensure correct spelling of your email and check spam or junk folder.
    • Please submit only one application per term.
  3. You will receive an email with your eight-digit verification code (EWU ID) within three weeks to the email provided in the application.

Note: If you enter information incorrectly or if you don’t receive the email within three weeks, please contact our office at cihs@ewu.edu or 509.359.6187.

Confirm Your Registration

After completing the online application and the self-pay form, confirm with your high school instructor that your name appears on the course registration roster. Names not on the roster will not receive credit nor will retroactive credit be given at a future date. Please double-check with your instructor that you are on the course roster in order to receive credit.

An email will be sent to you after your instructor submits the confirmation roster. If you do not receive that email, please let your instructor know.

Upon Completion of Course

Upon completion of the course, you will be asked to complete a final course evaluation. You may also want to order your final transcripts.

Course Evaluation:

Thoughtful evaluations help high school instructors and Eastern Washington University critically evaluate and assess the course curriculum delivered to program participants. A link to the evaluation will be sent out at the end of each quarter.

How to Order a Final Transcript:

You can order a final transcript using these options below.

Online:

  1. Visit EagleNET
  2. Choose “Pin Access.”
    • User ID: This is your 8-digit verification code (EWU ID).
    • PIN: Student’s birthday in the following format: mmddyy.
  3. Set up the account following the prompts (keep birthday as PIN for ease of use).
  4. Choose “Student.”
  5. Choose “Student Record.”
  6. Choose “Order Official Transcript.”

Using the Transcript Office:

  1. Visit Transcripts.
  2. Follow the directions for your situation.
