For High School Students
Complete these steps to apply and register for courses. If you have any questions during the process, please contact cihs@ewu.edu.
Complete Orientation
Student Orientation Video: The first step in getting oriented to EWU in the High School as a student is to watch this video. It will take approximately 15 minutes.
Canvas Orientation: If you or your parent(s)/guardian(s) would like more information, you’re welcome to review this Canvas orientation course. Note: This is an open-enrollment Canvas course. You do not need EWU credentials to access the course. Please avoid using Microsoft Edge as the default browser when opening Canvas.
Complete Application
All students must complete the application.
- How to start the application:
- Please use a personal email, not your high school email address to apply — the high school firewall will block emails from us.
- Create an account on the application page (for first time users).
- Please ensure correct name, date of birth, and email address, and check your spam or junk folder for your confirmation code.
- Completing the application:
- Once your account is created, you must activate the application through email.
- Use the link in the email to open the EWU in the High School portal and complete the application.
- Once the application is complete you will review the FERPA policy and select classes available at your high school.
- EWU Resources & Services
- After the application is completed, you will receive your EWU ID number and EWU account User Name within three to five days to the email provided in the application. EWU credentials give you access to university resources and your academic transcripts.
- EWU services require account activation.

Confirm Your Registration
After completing the online application and registration steps along with the self-pay contract (private school students only), students will be enrolled in classes. All students can confirm their registration through the EWU in the High School online portal by accessing the high school student login and My Classes tile.
Upon Completion of Course
Upon completion of the course, you will be asked to complete a final course evaluation. You may also want to order your final transcripts.
Course Evaluation:
Thoughtful evaluations help high school instructors and Eastern Washington University critically evaluate and assess the course curriculum delivered to program participants. A link to the evaluation will be sent out at the end of each quarter.
How to Order a Final Transcript:
You can order a final transcript using these options below.
Online:
- Follow the steps to activate your Single Sign On (SSO)
- Visit EagleNET Experience
- Find the Title-Card labeled “Student Account.”
- Choose “Student Records.”
- Choose “Order Official Transcript.”
Using the Transcript Office:
- Visit Transcripts.
- Follow the directions for your situation.
