Many students live off campus and commute to the main campus in Cheney. The bus is included for students, faculty and staff, but if you have to drive, you’ll find that traffic is friendly. Either way, it’s only 20 minutes from Cheney to Spokane.

The 6, 66 and 661 are all buses which take you from the Cheney campus to Spokane. Hundreds of students, staff and faculty utilize this service, so more often than not you will be surrounded by fellow Eags. There are also routes that connect Cheney to the Spokane International airport. Along with this, EWU offers free transportation through the Spokane Transit Authority with free public Wi-Fi to enjoy on your travels.
Route 68 provides a free, safe and easy method of transportation in and around the Cheney area. This circulator is your main busing method around the Cheney area, taking you in one complete loop around the city from downtown to campus and back. Each of these stops grants convenient walkability and multiple routes to better take you around the city. All buses have a bike rack located at the front of the bus.
There are 1,150 free parking stalls made available in lot P12. EWU is the only institution in our region to offer free parking.

Permit Parking InformationThere are plenty of bike racks around campus along with showers that are located in the URC, PHASE, Patterson, and Hargreaves.
