Healthcare Administration FAQs

Healthcare administration involves managing, leading, overseeing, and operating complex healthcare organizations. Healthcare administration professionals are the operational leaders who guide organizations through growth and change.

Healthcare administrators plan, direct, and coordinate the business side of medical facilities, including budgeting, staffing, and compliance. They often hold bachelor’s degrees in health administration and work in hospitals, clinics, and government agencies to improve operational efficiency and patient care.

In EWU’s online Healthcare Administration BS program, you’ll explore how the U.S. healthcare system really works. Courses cover everything from healthcare finance and marketing to strategic planning and operations. You’ll also explore organizational behavior, human resources, quality management, and research methods—all designed to give you in-demand skills.
