Donna Bachand earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Arkansas State University, and both her master’s and doctorate degrees in nursing at Texas Woman’s University. Prior to coming to Eastern she was professor and director of the bachelor of science in nursing and accelerated bachelor of science in nursing programs at Concordia University-Portland. She was also a faculty advisor for international experiences in health promotion and community health.  Dr. Bachand practiced as a oncology clinical nurse specialist and teaches courses in pharmacology, pathophysiology, and medical surgical nursing.

Pam comes to EWU Nursing with previous experience in nursing education of prelicensure students in the Spokane region. She also has a lengthy clinical nursing career in this region prior to teaching including working in NICU, PICU, ED, Pediatric ED, LD, home health and public health, and flight nursing for pediatric, neonatal, and high risk maternal patients.

She was born and raised in Missoula, MT and attended most of her undergraduate at University of Montana and Montana State University before transferring to University of Hawaii. She moved to Spokane after graduation and has worked in numerous areas and facilities in the region.

She is passionate about the science, practice, and art of nursing. This passion includes teaching, fostering, and supporting the next generation entering the nursing profession to ensure they have the highest level of knowledge, skills, and abilities enabling them to have a lengthy and successful nursing career.

Emilie is the Operations Manager for Nursing and has served with Eastern for 15 year. During that time, she has held many roles ranging from student affairs to clinical operations. She is a proud alumni earning both her undergraduate and graduate degree’s from EWU. She enjoys working with students and seeing them accomplish goals and dreams.  In her free time she enjoys gardening, traveling, camping and hanging out with family. She has a daughter and son.
