Application Process

Applying for the School Psychology EdS

Each year, we admit students to our three-year programs and to our accelerated two-year pathway. To determine the best program for you, please review the program comparison table for admissions requirements.

Start Your Application and Upload items

Please note: Applications for summer 2024 are closed. Applications for the next available cohort – summer 2025 – will be available in fall 2024.

You will need to provide the following before submitting:

  1. Provide contact information for three professional references.
  2. Upload a current resume/CV.
  3. Upload a short essay (500 word maximum) in response to the following prompt: Tell us how you are prepared to work with children and youth from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Submit the Application by January 15.

Complete your application, upload all required documents, and pay the application fee by January 15 (11:59 EST) to be considered for an interview.

Transcripts

Request that official transcripts from all institutions attended be sent to EWU.

Web Interview

Select applicants will be invited to interview. All interviews will be conducted via video conferencing. The equipment needed for the interview consists of a web-camera (can be internal to your laptop or external), a headset with a microphone and a wired internet connection (wireless tends to be slower and could impact either the video or audio component of the transmission).

Application Decisions

Admission decisions are made following your application interview. We will let you know your status by April 15.
Once an applicant has been notified of acceptance into the EDS Program, a non-refundable/non-deferrable deposit of $500 will be required to reserve a place in the program. This deposit will be applied to the first quarter’s tuition.
