Raymond Ostlie is a self-proclaimed “fish nerd” studying biology at Eastern Washington University. He loves the outdoors, and his favorite aspect has been visiting local streams and lakes, and the hands-on nature of the program.

Lexi Anderson is studying biology at Eastern Washington University. In her teenage years, she decided that things needed to change, and that she wanted to help put forth that change. Having Turnbull Wildlife Refuge this close to the university has allowed her to study unique ecosystems that other universities don’t have access to.

Kandise Holcomb studies biology and biochemistry at Eastern Washington University. She loves the amount of research opportunities on campus, and she is now looking to find a job where she can work in a lab.

Heather “Raven” Fruscalzo is studying biology with a focus on disease ecology at Eastern Washington University. She has done her own research from designing her own experiment to publishing the academic paper, and the research opportunities she received has helped her get into grad school.
