Next Steps

We've received your FAFSA, but we still need a few things to complete your aid offer.

Get Started

  1. Visit the EagleNET Financial Aid Status page
  2. Sign in using your EWU SSO
  3. Click Financial Aid Status on the menu that appears
  4. Use the Award Year dropdown in the upper right hand corner to select Aid Year 2023-2024
  5. Scroll down the page to the portion titled Student Requirements, Unsatisfied Requirements

Complete the Unsatisfied Requirements

For each unsatisfied requirement:

  1. Click the down arrow next to Student Action Required
  2. Read and follow all instructions

Need some additional help? Our Detailed Instructions PDF provides more information with examples of some common forms and what they should look like once they’ve been filled out. Here are the most common unsatisfied requirements and some things to know about them:

  • Household Size Verification Form
    • Be sure to respond to ALL sections when you’re filling out this form
    • You and at least one parent will need to sign the form
    • See Step 3 below for instructions on how to submit the form
  • Income Verification Form
    • Be sure to respond to ALL sections; if the answer is zero, respond with zero
    • You and at least one parent will need to sign the form
    • See Step 3 below for instructions on how to submit the form
  • Parent 2021 Tax Return
    • If your parent(s) filed a 2021 federal tax return, do one of the following:
      1. Obtain a signed and dated copy of your parent(s) 2021 Federal Tax Return, or
      2. Obtain your parent(s) IRS issued 2021 Tax Return Transcript (available from irs.gov)
    • If your parent(s) did not file a 2021 federal tax return, do the following:
      1. Have your parent(s) fill out the Verification of Non-Filing form
      2. Obtain your parent(s) 2021 W2s for any income from work
    • Submit your parent(s) tax return/tax transcript, Verification of Non-Filing form and/or W2(s), as applicable (see instructions in Step 3 below)
  • Student 2021 Tax Return
    • If you filed a 2021 federal tax return, do one of the following:
      1. Obtain a signed and dated copy of your 2021 Federal Tax Return, or
      2. Obtain your IRS issued 2021 Tax Return Transcript (available from irs.gov)
    • If you did not file a 2021 federal tax return, do the following:
      1. Verify your non-filer status on the Income Verification Form
      2. Obtain your 2021 W2s for any income from work
    • Submit your tax return/transcript and/or W2(s), as applicable (see instructions in Step 3 below)
  • Other Unsatisfied Requirements
    • You may have other requirements to complete, like your admission to EWU or your acceptance for EWU scholarship offers

Submit the Required Forms/Documents

  • Option #1 – Scan your forms and upload them online
    1. Scan the complete/signed form or applicable document
    2. Save it as a PDF or TIF (Note: Most mobile devices have the ability to scan/save)
    3. Select Upload XXX (form name) under each unsatisfied requirement. This will redirect you to Etrieve
    4. In Etrieve, select Click here to select your Aid Year
    5. Choose the Aid Year 2023-2024
    6. Enter your Daytime Phone
    7. Read and “check the box” for the confirmation statement
    8. Select Attachments
    9. Select Upload File, find and attach your saved form/document. Once the upload is complete, the attachment will appear in the prompt box
    10. Click Submit to complete the upload
    11. Close Etrieve
  • Option #2 – Send via USPS
    1. Make and retain copies for your records before mailing
    2. Send to EWU Financial Aid, 102 Sutton Hall, Cheney, WA, 99004
  • Option #3 – Send via Fax
    1. Retain copies for your records
    2. Fax to EWU Financial Aid at 509.359.4330
