EWU Gallery of Art

About

The EWU Gallery of Art is a central and vital space within the  Art Program, serving as a dynamic site for learning, inquiry, and engagement. The gallery presents a rigorous exhibition program designed to give students direct, first-hand experience with the work, ideas, and methodologies of contemporary visual artists.

The gallery presents three invited artist exhibitions each academic year, followed by two BFA Thesis exhibitions highlighting student work. In addition to its exhibition program, the gallery participates in the annual Research & Creative Works Symposium and hosts a visiting artist lecture series. These programs create multiple points of access for students to engage with contemporary artistic practice through exhibitions, lectures, and dialogue.
