Embark on a Life-Changing International Experience
Take your education beyond the classroom by spending a semester or academic year in Japan or South Korea!
EWU’s exchange programs offer students the opportunity to study at a partner university abroad while experiencing a new culture, building international friendships, and developing valuable global skills.
Students can choose from a variety of program lengths, including:
- Summer programs (typically 2-4 weeks)
- Semester-long exchanges
- Academic year exchanges
As an exchange student, you will:
- Study at a partner university in Japan or South Korea.
- Experience daily life and culture firsthand.
- Develop intercultural communication and global awareness skills.
- Build your résumé through international experience.
- Earn academic credit while making progress toward your EWU degree.
One of the major benefits of an exchange program is that you continue to pay EWU tuition while studying at the host university. Students are responsible for additional expenses such as housing, meals, airfare, insurance, and personal expenses.
Students begin by applying through EWU’s exchange program process. If nominated, they must also complete an application to the host university and meet any additional requirements set by the host institution.
Whether you’re looking for a short summer experience or a full year abroad, an exchange program can be one of the most rewarding and transformative parts of your college career.
