Request a Room Change

Room changes are now open! All communication regarding the room change process will be sent to your EWU email, so please check that email for updates. If you have any further questions, please reach out to your CA/CLL or RLC for your building.

If you requested a room change before move-in, you will need to submit this form so we know you are still interested.

All room changes are subject to availability of the specific room type and/or building you have requested. Thanks for your patience.

Request Form

  • Room change requests are processed on a first come, first served basis. While we do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible, we may not be able to accommodate your request right away. In order to expedite the process, frequently check your EWU email as that is where all communication will be sent. As a part of this process, you will be required to speak with your residence life coordinator. If you have questions at any point you may contact the Housing Office at housing@ewu.edu or 509.359.2451.
  • Please be as descriptive as possible about why you would like a room change. Include any details that may be impacting your health, well being, or ability to be a successful student. Our staff will work with you to resolve your issue and it is helpful to have as much information as possible prior to your conversation.

  • Preferences

    Indicate your preferences for hall, room type, and roommate below. Please note that not all options may be available at the time you submit this and we will do our best to accommodate your request. If you are requesting a room change for the apartments, please provide that info in the Additional Details section above.
  • If you are hoping to live with a certain person please include their full name here, otherwise leave this blank
  • By submitting this request, you acknowledge that you must follow all the instructions provided in any follow-up emails or you are subject to the $100 failure to move/unauthorized move charge.
