EWU is aware of a social media post raising concerns about a potential threat. The EWU Police Department is actively investigating. At this time it has found no credible threat to campus safety.
President McMahan shared the following message with students to welcome them to spring quarter and acknowledge the broader national conversations happening around higher education, including topics such as financial aid, civil rights, and free speech.
“Eastern Washington University remains committed to our mission and values and continues to be dedicated to opportunity and success for all students,” McMahan says.
“As students, you are the heart of our Eastern Washington University community, and your well-being—academically, emotionally, and personally—remains our top priority,” McMahan says.
