On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Eastern Washington University will celebrate the graduating class of 2024 at our annual all-campus commencement ceremonies.
The Semester Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for:
Friday, May 3, 2024, at 9:30 a.m,
EWU Pavilion (Reese Court)
1375 Swoop Lane, Cheney, WA 99004
Doors open for seating at 8:30 a.m.
Student line-up begins at 8:45 a.m. on Friday in Reese Court.
Procession begins promptly at 9:30 a.m.

FREE Parking is available in Lot 12A & B which is located behind Reese Court. You can use this interactive map of the EWU Cheney Campus to locate the FREE parking area. Please use the interactive map, to locate Accessible Parking spaces.
Also available is parking by mobile payment.
When you arrive at the Reese Court, proceed to the graduates check-in station.
Please leave any items that you will not need during the ceremony with your guests.
Please come dressed in your cap and gown. Wear shoes that are comfortable for walking and for using stairs. Carry your hood (if applicable).
Upon arrival, guests may proceed directly to the seating area. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and seating is first-come, first-serve. The event will be live streamed on YouTube for those who cannot attend in person. The link is on this website.
Like sporting events, Reese Court has a clear bag only policy.

A professional photographer will take at least one picture of each graduate as they receive their diploma cover. Graduates will be photographed with no obligation to purchase. Photos will be available for purchase through After Image Visual Services. Please visit their website 2-3 days after the ceremony to view a proof and provide your mailing address on the photo card at Check-in.
A limited number of flowers will be available for purchase. Flowers will be arranged by The Commencement Group and proceeds from the sale will benefit the EWU Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA).
To further contribute to a safe and efficient environment for graduates, guests, and faculty, we are strongly encouraging customers to take advantage of our online pre-order service. We will have a contact-free customer experience for guests who are simply picking up their pre-purchased and reserved products.
You can now pre-order flowers from The Commencement Group for this year’s ceremonies.
Balloons are not allowed in Reese Court.
The Eaglestore will be on-site at graduation for individuals wanting to purchase Eagle gear! Go Eags!
We are following state and public health guidelines for this event. Currently, there is no requirement for masks or vaccinations.
Yes, you may participate in either the May or June ceremony (or both!).
No, you may only participate in the June ceremony.
To participate in the Commencement ceremony, you are expected to be dressed in appropriate graduation regalia.
Graduation attire is available for purchase from the Eagle Store beginning at the end of February until early June. Join the Eagle Store at their Grad Fair kick-off events. Grad Fair is an opportunity to order your cap and gown and purchase other graduation-related items. There are usually fun contests, chances to win prizes and special discounts.
