About

James O. Asare specializes in mathematics teaching and teacher learning, the cultural and professional contexts that shape teacher development, and artificial intelligence research and its applications in mathematics education. Part of his interdisciplinary work examines how culture, professional experiences, and social networks shape mathematics teaching and professional learning. His emerging research integrates mathematics education, learning science, and artificial intelligence to design and rigorously evaluate AI-enabled learning systems that support human learning, teacher development, and productive human–AI collaboration.
