How to Plan Your Transfer from a Community College

As you plan your transfer to EWU, make sure you're on track to graduate on time and submit all your materials by EWU's deadlines.

Credits You've Earned How You Can Prepare to Transfer to EWU
1 to 29
  • Meet with your EWU Admissions representative to talk about the admissions process and get your questions answered.
  • Start planning for your major. You can use the Transfer Guide to discover how your courses will transfer to EWU.
30 to 45
40 to 60
  • Apply for admission by Feb. 15.
  • Most majors at EWU don't have separate applications, but a few do. If yours is one of them, you'll want to make sure you complete your application by the deadline.
  • Apply for financial aid by completing your FAFSA before Feb. 15.
  • Apply for scholarships, and make sure you know about any special scholarships offered by your major.

61 to 89

  • Follow up. Make sure you've got all the information you need to make your transfer.
  • Apply for housing by May 15 to take advantage of sign-up bonuses.
  • Graduate!
  • Send EWU your final, official transcripts.
